The Window and Door Manufacturers Association is a trade association representing approximately 130 U.S. and Canadian manufacturers and suppliers of windows and doors for the domestic and export markets. Members sell to distributors, dealers, builders, remodelers, architects, contractors and other specifiers in residential, commercial and institutional markets. WDMA members manufacture high performance products designed and built to performance based standards.
Primary objectives of the association are:
· to promote the interests of the window, skylight and door industry and to enhance the Association's position of leadership,
· to formulate and promote high standards of performance for the products of the window, skylight and door industry,
· to increase the use of the products of the industry throughout the world,
· to improve the conditions under which the industry must operate,
· to collect and disseminate pertinent industry data, and
· to serve as the focal point for the exchange of technical expertise.
The Window & Door Manufacturers Association is comprised of the country's leading producers of sash, frames, window units, skylights, flush doors, stile and rail doors, and sliding and swinging patio door units.
In addition, a Council of Associate Members represents the producers of glass, lumber, hardware, sealants, preservatives, weather-stripping, extrusions and the numerous other materials required to manufacture the industry's products.
Through their membership in WDMA, participating companies demonstrate their commitment to high standards of design and construction so that end users receive the beauty, ease of operation, energy-saving performance, and ease of maintenance they expect from quality-made windows and doors.
