GETTING IT TOGETHER
Falcon Products’ Newport, Tenn., plant and Idaho Falls-based Woodland Furniture are soaring to new efficient assembly heights with one-piece flow operations. Falcon Product’s tabletop plant has reduced parts inventory and reduced work-in-progress by 75 percent. Meanwhile, Woodland Furniture reduced the distance its products take to be assembled from 1.3 miles to 1,000 feet.
