On the jobsite time is money, so framers need circular saw blades that make fast, precise cuts over a long period of time. That's just what the new Bosch DaredevilT framing blades bring to the table everyday: thin-kerf, extra-hard steel plate blades with triple-sharp carbide teeth that power through wood to deliver a combination of speed and a smooth finish. A Speed CoatT finish provides added speed and avoids binding in treated or wet lumber.
Bosch Daredevil framing blades provide significant performance and product-life improvements over other framing blades thanks to enhancements like Bosch C3 Micrograin Carbide, which stays sharper longer and resists impact damage, and triple-sharp teeth that are sharpened on the face, top and sides. The extra-sharp blades slice wood fibers cleanly for an efficient cut. The blades also feature control-cut shoulders for reduced kickback and expansion slots to control blade warp.
"This blade is designed to start sharper and stay sharper. That's beyond a tagline, it's what framers asked for," said Chris Carlson, Bosch group product manager, circular saw blades. "Due to the number and variety of cuts in a building project, contractors need a blade that cuts smoothly to avoid fatigue and splintering. The hardened thin-kerf plate and body slots deliver durability and a straight, true cut."
Bosch Daredevil framing blades are built to increase productivity in residential construction and remodeling projects. Typical applications include crosscut and rip cut of framing lumber, plywood, synthetic building panels, flooring and siding materials.
The extra-hard steel plate resists bending and deflection for a straight cut; ample body slots reduce heat for true running.
The new framing blade series is the latest addition to the Daredevil family of high-performance wood cutting and drilling products, which also include award-winning spade and auger bits. The saw blade line will expand to include 10 and 12 inch blades in early 2012.
