Minneapolis, MN – Winsted Corp. has expanded its custom console capabilities with the launch of a new division. Winsted Custom Wood will focus on manufacturing custom cabinetry and millwork for control room installations.
“Winsted formed the new division to help fulfill an increasing demand for custom millwork and custom wood cabinetry in the ever-expanding control room market,” Randy Smith, company president, said.
Ergonomic Consoles
The new division enables Winsted to expand its stock, customized and custom console solutions, according to the company, which hired additional craftsmen at the new unit.
Winsted has provided ergonomic consoles for control rooms since 1963.Its technical furniture products are used in video, production, broadcast, security, power utilities, process control and transportation industries around the world.
Winsted expanded into overseas markets in 1975, primarily in the United Kingdom. The company later established international distribution to the European, Middle East and African markets and signed distributor agreements in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. www.winsted.com
