The DBJ is a CNC-controlled multi-axis/station Drawer Box Machining Center designed to the entire box from dimensioned material.

The machine can be configured to do English and French Dovetails Drawers.  It can also drill holes for mounting drawer fronts, route for the under mount drawer glides, and route the drawer bottom grooves. In the past, such work could involve four to six different machines or work stations and would still require a fair amount of fixturing and downtime between set ups. The DBJ's CNC controls allow it to change drawer sizes and operations in seconds. The machine has three axis of CNC, with the carriage movement in X, Y & Z. A 15-inch touch screen controls the motion using a Windows XP embedded industrial PC. On the carriage are three motors that pneumatically come into position as needed. Parts are machined while clamped in one of three work areas. Components can be loaded into one of six work zones, with two in each work area, allowing the operator to be loading parts in other zones while the machine is processing. www.accu-systems.com
