Melter System

The Nordson Corporation MiniPUR melter system provides a complete, cost-efficient PUR handgun application solution in a single box. The tank-based system adeptly handles up to 4-liters of PUR material from various formats including slugs and pellets/pastels. Low-volume users can easily, effectively use PUR adhesive for woodworking applications such as cabinet construction and furniture assembly. MiniPUR melters deliver affordable PUR adhesive capability to low-use processes. In addition to the material forms supported by MiniPUR melters being economical to purchase, the melter system is less expensive than equipment needed to process pails or drums of PUR material.

The MiniPUR system incorporates a lid configuration and integral inert gas supply connection not typically seen in tank melters to protect the PUR adhesive from the moisture in air that can cause premature curing. This protection preserves the integrity of the adhesives’ bonding properties and extends the adhesive tank life, the length of time the PUR can remain in the melter without needing to be purged.
