Variable Speed, Scroll Saw
The EX-16 Excalibur scroll saw from General International has a 16 in. throat capacity and offers the same unique titling head design as the larger EX-21 and EX-30 models. The 45 degree left or right tilting head tilts the blade, not the table, keeping the workpiece level and allowing for better control, more accurate cuts, as well as consistent, comfortable hand positioning at all times, regardless of the angle of cut. The EX-16 has a large 12 x 18-1/2 in. table made from 3/8 in. thick plate steel with a smooth-glide friction-free coating and offers a maximum cutting depth of 2 in.
Weighing in at a robust 68 lb the 1/4-inch thick, laser-cut steel plate chassis is built for maximum stability and minimal vibration. The saw is equipped with a 120 V 1.3 A motor, for ample cutting power. A front mounted electronic variable speed control knob allows for blade speed adjustment from 400 to 1,550 strokes per minute, allowing the user to dial-in the correct speed to suit the material, blade, and type of cut, for maximum efficiency. The EX-16 is currently retailing for $499.99.
